About us

The company was established 7 years ago by Company Director Gemma Barnsley, having spent 10 years in the industry and with a huge passion and drive, it was time for GLB to be born. Since day one she and her wonderful team have worked endlessly to grow the company, build up relationships with landlords, vendors and tenants alike and ensure there is a high quality of service at all times.

GLB originally was a purely lettings company, but due to the growth of the business and high demand from our clients to add residential sales, we soon added this service to our business, and have since been building relationships with vendors, buyers and investors, establishing ourselves in the market. We look forward to helping you sell, buy, rent or let your property, we know this is such an important time in your life, and we are privileged to experience and be at your side for these significant moments.

The team has grown beautifully over the years, a true GLB family has developed. We work closely together, support each other, and ensure a happy working environment on a daily basis. We’ve had GLB babies, battled the wolf run together (probably the first and last time ha) for Cancer Research and this year we’ll be attending the ‘The Glow Walk’ in Warwick for The Alzheimer’s Society, we’re not just an agency, we are a group of people who love what we do, we hope you do too.

Gemma BarnsleyCompany Director

Gemma Barnsley

I first started my career in the Property industry 15 years ago, I started as a maintenance consultant and from here my passion grew, progressing on to a Lettings Negotiator and finally a Manager. I then 6 years ago made the decision to plan and start my own agency, having huge ideas of how an agency can offer better quality of service for both landlords and tenants, ideas of how we can progress with this ever changing industry… and so GLB was born, and I have never looked back. We have come so far since the day GLB began, it’s been a lot of hard work, a lot of long days/nights but it is all worth it, as I know we are building and continuously growing a company to be proud of. We were originally solely offering a Lettings service, but by popular demand we decided to expand to include sales too, focusing on all the values of a traditional agency but with the style of a modern online agency too including that all important presence of a great team! My life is pretty much solely all about GLB, but when I do get some time out your generally find me walking the coast somewhere with my little four legged companion.

Jessica Ferguson

My passion for my job began when I completed my Property Management degree back in 2013, I knew at this point it was an industry that I wished to become my career and something I would enjoy on a day to day basis. I have worked for a new build company and 1 other property agency previously before starting with GLB 4 years ago and feel I have found my forever home within a great team. Since joining GLB I have had 2 little boys and therefore have began a part time administrator role within the office. I spend my days within the office helping out with the day to day flow of lettings which includes liaising with tenants, landlords and the team to ensure all tenancies run as smoothly as possible, from start to finish and throughout the tenancy term. Both my sons keep me on my toes when I’m out of the office, a work life/ family life balance is not always easy but is all very worthwhile. Currently planning for my wedding again in 2021 due to two cancellations during Covid lockdowns in 2020, it’s been somewhat a busy few years so far, but all very exciting and many more adventures ahead.

After beginning my career in property management from 2006, I have enjoyed letting, inspecting and managing maintenance and repairs to both residential and student accommodation for over 13 years. I am now very excited to become part of the GLB Property Services team and continue my vocation in the industry.

I have always been very interested in the property industry. After a change of career in September 2021, I am now thoroughly enjoying being part of the GLB lettings team. On a day-to-day basis I help with new tenancies from start to finish as well as tenancy renewals. I enjoy speaking to tenants and landlords daily as well as arranging the utilities change overs, and all property certificates. In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I very much look forward to my future here at GLB Property Services.
